Both Heirloom and Rogue Valley Roses carry it.

This is one of my favorite roses in my south Louisiana hot humid garden. It blooms non-stop; never shows any sign of blackspot or other disease and is absolutely beautiful. A few years ago it snowed here and we had several days (days!) of sub-freezing temps. It showed no sign of any frost damage at all. It never lost it leaves and when we had another late frost, the new buds on it weren't affected at all. It is a nicely shaped bush and doesn't get bare legged even as it gets pretty tall. This is one of those roses that is a must for the southern gardener that needs no/low maintenance roses.

I live in NE Colorado Springs (south of Denver) with an east-facing courtyard so wind is mitigated. I'm looking at planting roses next spring and would like to include "Belle Epoque" from uncommonrose.biz. I'm wondering if it's truly hardy in zones 4/5 (they say 4 - 9). Also, I'm not sure the size, foliage, disease-resistance or other characteristics. Wondering if someone has experience with this one. Janice

Janice -- It sounds like you are on the "borderline" for this rose. The deciding factor will be your specific microclinmate. You're probably going to have to try it, to find out.

I had this rose in my garden in the south of Sweden and it survived fine through a winter with -12 degrees Celsius, very exposed to wind all year, no problem at all with diseases. A truly splendid rose. Of course I do not know, what the weather conditions are in Colorado Springs, but maybe this helped you anyway.
