Bred by Antoine Levet (père) (France, 1882).
Introduced in Australia by George Brunning - St. Kilda Nurseries in 1897 as 'Souvenir de Thérèse Levet'.

Bloom:
Red.  Poppy-red, base or background yellow. Petals have a mucronate tip.  Moderate fragrance.  Medium to large, double (17-25 petals), borne mostly solitary, in small clusters, cupped-to-flat bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  
Habit:
Well-branched.  

Height: 3' to 5' (90 to 150cm).  
Growing:
USDA zone 7b through 9b.
