Bred by Jacques-Julien Margottin père (1817-1892) (France, 1843).
Introduced in France by Margottin père & fils in 1845 as 'Madame Tripet'.
Class:
Bourbon.  
Bloom:
Light pink, white flecks, white edges, yellow undertones.  Average diameter 3.25".  Medium to large, full (26-40 petals), cupped, globular bloom form.  Glandular sepals, ovoid buds.  
Habit:
Few or no prickles/thorns.  Glossy foliage.  3 to 5 leaflets.
