'Belle Aurore Poniatowska' rose Description

Bloom:
Light pink, light purple shading, white outer petals, yellow undertones. Strong fragrance. Average diameter 3.25". Large, semi-double to double, in small clusters bloom form. Once-blooming spring or summer.
Habit:
Few or no prickles/thorns. Blue-green foliage.

Notes:
Aurora Poniatowska (1800-1872), daughter of Colonel Jozef Poniatowski h. Ciolek (1762-1845), adjutant of Prince Jozef Poniatowski, Marshall of France. According to Moje Roze Aurora was sent at the age of 15 to Paris to study flower painting under Redouté. After her return to Tahancha/Ukraine, she married in October 1823 Count Piotr Dmitrievich Buturlin (1794-1853), who became second secretary of the Russian embassy in Rome.
