Distinguitur aculeis caulinis sparsis, gracilioribus, subrecurvis, foliolis ovatis , obtusis tenue dentatis, apice serratis, subtus villosis albicantibus ; pedunculis, petiolis calycibusque glanduloso-hispidis; floribns corymbosis, magnis, plenis, semiexpansis, centro pannosis, roseis, urceolis ellipticis, vel subglobosis , segmentisque calycis pinnatifidis prolongatis, non spathylatis. T.

Hace Thoryo a pud Reduteum est R. Gallica ß semiplena. Icon in Andr. Ros. fasc. 6. Similis quodammodo R. Damascenae Belgicae. Andrew fasc. 7 aliam habet subvarjetatem, minus aculcatam, minus adhuc plenam, saturate roseam sub nomine R. provincialis semiduplicis.

c) Die blaßrothe Provinzrose. Rosa provincialis pallida. Pale red provence Rose.
Sie unterscheidet sich von der gemeinen hochrothen Provinzrose, durch ihr blässeres Roth, und daß ihre Blätter größer. sind und sich etwas lockerer über einander schließen, als die folgende Knopfrose.

Die blasse Centifolie. Rosa Centifolia rubicans oder pallida. Sie stammt von der Centifolie, und kommt daher in ihrem Bau und im übrigen mit derselben überein. Sie unterscheidet sich nur durch die blasseren Blumen. Auch Herr Lueder führt sie als Varietät der Centifolie an. Auch erscheint sie in Verzeichnissen zuweilen unter dem Nahmen pallida.

The Blush Provence Rose, in which the stalks rise from three to four feet high, and are unarmed: the leaves are hairy on their under side: the peduncles have some small spines: the segments of the calyx are semi-pinnate: the corolla has five or six rows of petals, which are large, and spread open; they are of a pale blush colour, and have a musky scent.
