Translation:
Rosa villosa 'Huldra' ....a spontaneous hybrid which originated in Evert Nilsson's nursery in Ǻs, Jämtland. ...Known in Swedish culture sinde de 1950s or 1960s....In his book Välkommen i min Lustgård (2007) Evert Nilsson states that "Huldra" is a hybrid between 'Poppius' and Rosa rubiginosa... The DNA study of Pom shows that"Huldra" has other parents than what Evert Nilsson stated.....Pom's DNA study shows that the seed parent of "Huldra" is Rosa villosa,...  "Hurdal" or another variety which is closely related to Rosa villosa. A variety in the Spinosissima-Group, probably with light or white blooms, is in all probability the pollen parent.

[From "Hardy Roses in Iceland", by Vilhjálmur Lúðvíksson, pp. 37-41]
....the rather recently Swedish bred 'Huldra' ('Poppius' × Rosa rubiginosa L.) remained in flower unaffected by the rain from early July until end of September, showing its relationship to its 18th century hardy mother 'Poppius' of pimpinelliafolia origin.
