'Landora ®' rose Reviews & Comments

I've always wondered if the unknown portion of the parentage is Piccadilly.
I saw a plant of this for sale at a Lowe's when passing through the Tri-Cities of Washington back in 2010, and I regret not buying it as a lineage study. I really didn't want to travel with a rose in the trunk lol.

I love this yellow rose; however, be warned that it has THORNS! I could probably use one of its canes to protect against home invaders. :-) Seriously, the thorns are dense, long, thick, and wicked.

I ordered a plant of Landora from the closing sale at Eurodesert. A large plant arrived at my house in Sept. after transiting across the USA in summer and languishing at least one weekend in USPS storage. I planted it and ir has begun putting out healthy, shiny foliage. So far, there is not a speck of blackspot to be seen even though this has been a bad season for BS and the foliage is all at or near ground level. It remains to be seen if it will survive my zone 5a winter, but I plan to protect with a mound of dirt and leaves over that and to create a shelter to the west of the plant.
