    Not a very vigorous yellow. Great color. Very thorny. Very BS prone.

    It took J/P 2 decades to breed the really bad qualities out of this rose.

    The blooms are its only merit. It's the Brandy of yellows. I even wonder if they are related. Very similar issues, and both are heat lovers.

    A large portion of the ohotos for Sunbright are actually Sunsprite, which is a similarly colored and commercially available yellow.

    For some reason my 'rating' isn't showing up. I'd give 'Sunbright' an EXCELLENT for fragrance and color.

    This was a Jackson & Perkins Rose of the Year winner. Does anyone know what year that was?

    It was the 1984 ROY for Jackson and Perkins.
