I received 'Secret's Out!' this past season and I must say that I am thoroughly impressed with this rose. The blooms are fragrant, the plant repeats well with regular watering, and I haven't had much issue with blackspot. It's rare to find a hybrid tea that performs this well in South Carolina.
From a breeding perspective, I have not had any luck using this rose as a seed parent nor have I observed any open-pollinated hips on the plant.
I just love sports-----Every once in a while they come out with different colors or revert to the original. I now have a branch of Secret on my Secrets out. It's a very beautiful combination.
This is one of my favorite whites. Very strong, exceptional fragrance; big, beautifully formed blooms and lots of them. Always blooming in our Zone 7 hot, humid climate. It will blackspot some if I don't spray regularly.
This one seems more water needy than original Secret. As long as I water it HEAVILY, it crops those fragrant, well formed blooms. Miss a watering and it shuts down until the water flows again. Gorgeous rose, though.
Try Royal Philharmonic, if you can find it. You could kick that rose and it'd still bloom just fine. It is a machine, but in the plant size of Savoy Hotel, unlike most HT monsters out there. Blooms are always large, however.
We have had ninety degree weather and many of my roses look unhappy but his one, in full sun, grows and is loaded with beautiful fragrant blooms. I cut back on my watering some due to local restrictions and this still goes strong. I hope the hybridizers look for some heat and drought tolerant roses in the future.
