Rosa rugose.

Originally purchased from Cookeville Nursery in 2004 for it's fragrance, disease resistance, color and fullness of bloom. Stems are covered with small needle like thorns and light green foliage. Blooms are medium pink with a violet undertone, very fragrant and heavy. Due to the weight of the blooms stem support is necessary for floral arrangements.

I have transplanted the new shoots under or in front of windows as a deterrent to trespassers and as a natural home fragrance. Transplant's easily with shoots at the base. Use heavy gloves and protective clothing when transplanting.
