I have successfully grown many Sarah's at 9000 ft. elevation in the mountains of northern New Mexico, a clear zone 4.

I bought Sarah Bernhardt peony from Walmart. The perfume is even stronger than my strongest scent rose. Cut flower lasts 1 week. The scent is too strong to stick one's nose into the bloom, but it makes the entire room smells good. I smelled many peonies, and this one has the strongest scent.

Such a reliable plant and gorgeous full-double pink. It's so common but so wonderful. Of course, stems need support, but who could resist picking these anyway?
