Repeat-flowering. ‘Carole Joy’ is a moderately strong grower with blood red, well shaped flowers of 45 petals. They are large and sometimes of exhibition standard and have a strong fragrance. The healthy foliage is dark green and glossy and new growth is purple tinged. Flower production is not as high as either parent and repeat bloom is rather slow. Zones 5-9.
