I love the fragrance of this rose and it bloom all summer long ... But I have a little bit of black spot on it , which is desapointing me on that side ....I though it was VERY black spot resistant ....

Fiji is, by the same breeder and looks similar, but this one is bred from 2 1980s HTs and 1 Austin English rose. None of which are particularly resistant to BS. Unfortunately, Fiji does not have the fragrance desired.

Michael, I grew an own root Fiji for a couple of years, it was a good bloomer, but it tended to straggle in the extended brutal NM heat, so I gave it away. Own root Dee Lish never did well for me for some reason, it had a decent spring flush but then put out a lot of tall growth with only sporadic flowers, and those got trashed in the heat. She was growing in a whisky barrel so had a pretty good amount of root ball/soil space, and the majority of my roses excel in that same barrel, but she appeared to not like it. Maybe NOT a good container plant? Some roses sulk in a container and only do well in the ground.

Fiji hated the heat here in the low desert of CA as well.

Like I posted August 27 2019, this year the rose behaves excellent during summer weather-extremes too. Too hot and dry during may and June... and way too wet and cool in July. No black-spot at all in contrary to most other roses. (I didn't spray the past 3 years) It's almost the only Hybrid Tea, that keeps on flowering. Some climbers like Étoile de Hollande Cl. do flower too. It's growing on me, this rose... despite the fact, that I sometimes detest the scent, as I explained in another post.

There appears to be an error on this description tab, describing the parentage of a different rose (MEIdrason): Meidrason’ was selected from a batch of seedlings derived from a cross between ‘Delsop’ (seed parent) and ‘Kortello’ (pollen parent) in 1995. ... Breeder: Alain Antoine Meilland First sold in the EU, May 2001

Correct, description deleted, thank you!. The application for MEIclusif in Australia seems to have been dropped.
