So the Howard one is pink blends and the Warriner one is apricot blends? Am I getting this right?

Tom Carruth posted this to Instagram with a photo of this rose from their new "mid century planting" at The Huntington Library. "tom_carruth_roses
First bloom on a new plant of this miss-century HT, Thanksgiving. The records show it listed twice. One as a 1963 intro bred by Bill Warriner, with believable parentage. Another as a 1965 intro bred by Arthur Howard, with doubtful parentage but patented. Both were marketed by Howard’s California Flowerland Nursery. Even though Bill was the actual hybridizer, the Howards felt he stepped out of line by claiming himself as the inventor instead of the family name. It led to Bill leaving Howard’s just in time to be snatched up as the main breeder for Jackson & Perkins during their most powerful heyday."

I was wondering the same thing. Mine is from Vintage. They are shown here as growing both the Howard and the Warriner.

I have the one from Vintage. I think their catalog lists Warriner as the breeder, but here it says they sell both. They look so similar, but each has different parents altogether.
