    Admin, I don't see a reference to the book of Brent C. Dickerson "Old Roses: The Master List"? In the second edition there is a reference to the rose Le Comte Lacépède, page 347: (Vibert, 1830) G Syn 'Comtesse Lacépède', Lilac pink to vinous pink. Could this reference be placed here?
    Maybe the confusion about the pink Comtesse de Lacépède is in the name? both are very simular with the exception of the word 'de' in the name of the Comtesse.

    Is it possible that the pink rose Comtesse de Lacépède is actually Comte de Lacépède? That would explain a lot of the doubts that there are about the Comtesse.
