The 2008 re-issue of Aicardi's 1951 classic "Le Rose Moderne etc." opens with a letter the breeder wrote to an unidentified "Professore" on 28/6/1936. In this letter he gives the parentage of N. 22 as J. Potin x Dame Edith Helen and describes it as a "strong plant with long erect branches, long, pointed buds and big, full flowers of a deep salmon colour in the centre (illegible word) at the edges.
