Topaz (Hybrid polyantha) has smal but perfectly shaped, double, cream flowers, intensifying at the centre to lemon-yellow. Growth is exceptionally dwarf, foliage small to fit, and tough green. Tantau 1934...Vigorous. Slightly fragrant...June-September. Hardy.

Our desire for a yellow Floribunda may not be fulfilled so quickly! Topaz, from Tantau, is another of these steps toward perfection. It has a wonderful little star-shaped, citron-yellow bloom that is fully double.

Topas (Math. Tantau 1937). This new introduction fills a gap in the range of Polyantha roses, as it is the first pure yellow variety of its class. The buds are light yellow on the outside, the expanded bloom passes to lush yellow. The blooms are high-centered and and are in clusters of 5-8 and more on long, straight stalks. Furthermore Topas is characterized by a fine Tea rose fragrance, extraordinary floriferousness and deep green, glossy foliage, which remains healthy until late in autumn.....Low garden plants 1 piece RM [Reichsmark] 1.80  10 pieces RM 15.-
