'Toy Balloon' rose Description

ARS:
Dark red Miniature. Registration name: Toy Balloon
Bloom:
Dark red. Mild fragrance. 45 petals. Average diameter 1.5". Large, very full (41+ petals), borne mostly solitary, cluster-flowered, in small clusters bloom form. Prolific, blooms in flushes throughout the season. Mossed buds.
Habit:
Medium, armed with thorns / prickles, bushy, compact, rounded, spreading, well-branched. Small, semi-glossy, medium green, leathery foliage.
Height: 1' to 14" (30 to 35cm).
Growing:
USDA zone 6b and warmer. Can be used for beds and borders, container rose, cut flower or garden. Vigorous. Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that. Can be grown in the ground or in a container (container requires winter protection). Can be pruned to maintain a shorter habit.
