“Blackbutt Tea” (from north of Toowoomba) syn. “Sylvia Hannah’s Dark Pink Tea” and “Molly (Skennar) Mills” (northern NSW). The flowers occur singly or in clusters. The colour varies with the season, as does the petal number, to the extent of quartering. The guard petals may be darker in colour. Moderate scent; sweet rose, faint citrus or fruity undertones. It repeat-flowers through the year, after the large spring flush. Proliferation can occur. Hips form but so far they have not contained seed. Well armed, with prickles distributed right up to the flower stem. Growth is tall and healthy.
