The yellow fades (a bit) and the exposed surfaces of petals darken with red pigments, can look pink on old blooms where the yellow has faded away (but again only on exposed surfaces, the petals underneath still have noticeable yellow)....Australia and it's high UV at play possibly. No significant scent that I can detect. Makes a lot of easy to release pollen.

Foliage is mostly thick, shiny, healthy looking. Has gotten a little bit of something on some leaves (not blackspot but something that makes dark marks without yellowing), not something you'd notice unless looking for it, far healthier than most modern types.

As the season progressed so did the spotting and then defoliation. How this won most disease resistant in 2010 is beyond me, was it only competing against Sterling Silver, Angel Face and Moon Shadow? It's vigor reminds me of Ebb Tide...so not particularly great. Maybe I just got a super dud plant. Hangs on to it's petals far too long, unless your climate is fairly mild the blooms can get real dull pink with brown undertones and it still wants to hold on to them....I assume this probably translates into a good flower for cutting and bringing in doors but not great for the garden here. No OP hip set. No fragrance. It looks pretty at first but it's health goes down hill quickly and lacks the vigor to out grow the disease issues. I can't see it being something I'll hang on to.

It's now smack-bang in the middle of winter and my very young bush still has some buds/blooms on it! I reckon it's going to be a blooming-machine once it gets established.
