Bennett's Seedling. Syns.: Bennet's Seedling', 'Thoresbyana'.  Breeder: Bennett (Bennet, according to some sources) of Thoresby, 1840. Parentage: A hybrid of Rosa arvensis.  Class: hybrid arvensis (ayrshire per ARS) There have been some claims that 'Thoresbyana' Is a different rose, but there seems to be no evidence supporting them. Very light pink, semi-double, medium sized flowers open from pink buds and quickly fade to white. They have flat bloom form and a strong musk fragrance. The plant is shade tolerant and hardy and will grow in height to about 20 feet (6 meters).
