ARS: Medium red Hybrid Tea.Registration name: Better Times (hybrid tea, Catron 1932)
 
Bloom: Cerise, red shading.  Mild fragrance.  36 to 50 petals.  Large, very full (41+ petals), high-centered bloom form.  Blooms in flushes throughout the season.  Long, pointed buds.   
Habit: Compact, dense, few or no prickles/thorns.  Dark green, leathery foliage.  
 Height: 4' to 6' (120 to 185cm).
 
Growing: USDA zone 6b and warmer.  Spring Pruning: Remove old canes and dead or diseased wood and cut back canes that cross. In warmer climates, cut back the remaining canes by about one-third. In colder areas, you'll probably find you'll have to prune a little more than that.   |
