Dave Bang San Jose California September 13 2012 Unfortunately I did not notice the bloom until it was fully open so I missed the spiral. Also it was dusk so I had to take it indoors and shoot it on a blue satin background. I will see if it holds its shape the next day when the sun comes up and shoot it again.

First bloom on the larger plant. Color is not as dark as Dave's. But many roses aren't true on their first blooming. At least that's been my experience, especially with own-roots. Looking forward to the next blooms.

Dave Bang San Jose California September 15 2012 Two days later still holding strong. The pedals have great substance with excellent heat tolerance. Bloom is hard as a rock. I have high hopes for this rose.
