Book (1996) p49 Australian Raised Roses Symposium. Mrs. Con Ryan, WA Have had a few successes with ‘Accolade’ in the Australian raised section of our shows. It is a lovely red, but needs a tremendous amount of disbudding.
p61 Australian Raised Roses Symposium. Mr. Maurice Daw, WA ‘Accolade’. A strong growing bush of medium height. Blooms are carried on strong stems, frequently up to five buds to a stem, requiring disbudding. Blooms are a brilliant shade of light crimson, and of good exhibition standard.
p65 Australian Raised Roses Symposium. Mr. Philip Sutherland, Vic. ‘Accolade’. The liat would not be complete without a good red and this is widely held to be George Dawson’s best. A very well formed Hybrid Tea bloom of at least 40 petals, almost always borne one to a stem. A strong and healthy bush.

A very good Australian-raised rose now on trial in the U.S.A. Won best bunch of an Australian-raised rose at a recent Melbourne Rose Show.
