Book (1978) Page(s) 32. E. F. Allen, Awards To New Rose Seedlings In Great Britain In 1977 S.276 (Seedling x R. rugosa 'Scabrosa'). A dwarf spreading shrub or ground cover with typical Rugosa foliage and other characters. The double flowers, which are medium pink in colour and very strongly scented, remind me of 'Belle Poitevine', while the large, well coloured hips resemble those of the wild species. Like all Rugosas it is highly resistant to disease but the flower:foliage ratio has been very high. I rate it to be a useful but not very exciting shrub. It was bred by Mrs. W. E. Rock of Hitchin.
