Notes:
"Fanchon, das Leyermädchen" [Fanchon, the hurdy-gurdy girl] was an opera comique by Kotzebue, first performed 1804 in the Berlin Court Opera; based on "Fanchon la viellleuse", a comedy by Jean Nicolas Bouilly and Joseoh Marie Pain (1803).
This rose is probably a cultivar of C. Uterhart of Jardins de Farcy-les-Lys.
