“Molesworth Yellow China-Tea”, collected about 90km NE of Melbourne. The flowers are small. They are rarely as yellow as the first photo, more commonly cream, sometimes with a pink tinge. They can be quilled. They are usually borne singly, and repeat well in good conditions. Fragrant but not strongly. Hips are round and yellow-orange. It makes a low spreading bush.

These [founding roses] have been in the National Collection in Remark and have been grown for us..... The study names of these roses are "Molesworth China Tea".....

Iris King (NSW). Three roses nominated for propagation and reintroduction.
'Peace's China Tea'. - another quality rose. At least 2 layers of pink petals with a paler reverse, very heavily scented. rather unique and certainly worth growing.
(Not mentioned is the heavy rose-carmine flush the reflexes develop in warm weather. I find this rose after the style of 'Mme. Laurette Messimy'. Found in the Melbourne Cemetery. Ed. [Robert Peace].
