It is a very 1970's rose. Which is what I wanted. When I made the cross, I wanted to recreate "Los Angeles Beautiful" from Lammerts, 1967. I didn't have Rumba but I assumed Hawaiian Delight was "close enough." I didn't get even CLOSE to Los Angeles Beautiful. I got what I LOVE: that bright "Tropicana" color on a tall, clustering plant. The blooms are very full but never vegetative centered. It is very tall and thin, the foliage is a little large for the bloom but very dark like the father and also very healthy. The petal texture is very crisp and thick and the petal reverse is "silvery" and in bright sun the top petals will blush a little red on the edges. It is very floriferous and very strong. My "angle" is all of the "lost moderns" from my childhood...........
