The Basye Rose Breeding and Genetics Program at Texas A&M University has developed rose populations from the backcross of Rosa chinensis 'Old Blush' to WOB (interspecific diploid hybrid between Rosa wichurana 'Basye's Thornless' and 'Old Blush').
