Wait. Did he name this after Beaverton, Oregon???

Possibly. Another which I haven't yet added was 'Seattle'. Both were bred in 1984.

He had strong ties to Oregon. Beaverton is 10 miles east of me. Wilsonville, where Edmunds Roses sold a lot of McGredy's work for the US, is about 30 minutes south of me. Mt. Hood, a rose he named, can be seen by all 19+ cities here during most times of the day.
