January, 2018. Cool temps:lows in the 50's, highs in the 70's. This rose has a lovely fragrance. It stays an average time in the vase, and opens a peachy pink. Outside in cool temperatures the color is more intense at first, then fades to the pinkish hue. Overall a very nice rose. Very healthy and vigorous. This one gets partial shade in the winter and filtered to direct sun in the summer and it seems to like it.

I took this photo because Surreal is flushing in a 110 degree heat wave. This is perhaps it's third flush since it was planted as a bare root from J&P in early March. Flowers are bigger and more colorful when the weather is cooler, but I have to admire the effort here!
