The bud is a beautiful dark carmine/magenta-red colour. When opening with a hint of orange in the centre, the flower is at its most attractive. As the bud opens fully, the outer petals lighten to pink and reveal the mid-orange inner petals. The flower shape when open is fairly flat.

The fragrance is moderate rose/peach/myrrh.
