'Chip's Apple Blossom' rose Reviews & Comments

Private correspondence to me in February 2005 gives a little background on this rose.
....... 'Chips Apple Blossom' grown widely on the North Shore of Sydney, not sure how far it has spread, but it was bred by Mr Reithmuller and given privately to a friend & never registered. Mary Davis of Colonial Cottage sold it, (and gave it its name) - Chip's for the lady's nickname, and Appleblossom for the bloom style - a great many plants were just shared privately - piece of cake to propagate ( it is a shrubbier lower 'version' of his rose Carabella. (sorry if I've already told you this story, but just a month or so ago in her gardening column in The Australian, Holly Kerr Forsyth mentioned the rose in a garden she wrote about.)
