Springdale, Arkansas, August 2023. This is my second Jubilee Rugosa and it is not like my first, which was very outstanding in many ways and I wish I had dug it up and moved it.

Amazingly set hips early during the first year (2022) after a a very rough start. Hips are quickly getting larger than on any rose I've had. (Update 2023 after moving and buying another Jubilee from same place RT : plant quality seems to be inconsistent. First plant very outstanding in multiple ways, second plant blah. I would say it might be conditions, but the conditions for the second plant are better and I moved my Fru Dagmar Hastrup and FDH is performing the same fantastic way she has in other locations, whether same plant or new plant. I should have moved my first Jubilee too!)

Springdale, Arkansas, August 2023. This is my second Jubilee Rugosa and it is not like my first, which was very outstanding in many ways and I wish I had dug it up and moved it. But, the bees still love the new one and it does provide cross pollination for my more outstanding varieties like Alba, Fru Dagmar Hastrup, and Sweet Hips. I just expected the same plant behavior ordering from the same place.

Update 2023: I'm afraid I have to report that plant quality seems to be inconsistent. This photo is the first plant I got and it was so incredibly outstanding that I got another when I moved. The second is rather blah - not as strong, not as beautiful, and mostly, the hips are very disappointing and the second plant has better conditions! The two plants can't be clones. Perhaps some mistake was made.
. First year quickly set nice hips that are getting big quickly. Late Sept 2022 Bella Vista Arkansas
