This listing possibly includes early references to Rosa x suionum - the synonym of "Dornenlose Kreiselrose" to R. alpina multiplex is mentioned by Nickels in 1838. The rose was classed as an Alpina turbinata because it had no prickles. Looking now for the originalm descriptions of Desvaux, Delaunay, etc.
