Rosaceae
43. Rosa abutalybovii Gadzh. Near Threatened
This is a rare species known from just a few locations in Nakchivan, from the Shaxbuz area and in Guba from the Shakhdag area. The species is not protected in the wild, which makes it subject to the effects of human activities, such as cutting for fuel, or stochastic events, and its conservation assessment is capable of becoming critically endangered or even extinct in a very short time period. Current population trends need to be monitored. This is a valuable medicinal plant species. Its principal threats are cutting for fuel and over-collection by the local population.
