Bred by Unknown Italian Breeder(s) (Italy, before 1850).
Introduced in Austria-Hungary (former) by Joseph Unterrainer in 1858 as 'Augusta Carolina'.

Bloom:

White, red undertones. Large, semi-double to double bloom form.

After heer marriage in 1816 with Emperor Franz I of Austria she became Empress of Austria and Queen of Hungary.
