Origin:

Bred by Antoine Nérard (France, before 1847).
Introduced in France by Etienne Armand in 1847 as 'Pauline Bonaparte'.

Class:

Hybrid Bourbon, Hybrid Perpetual.

Bloom:

White. Small to medium, double (17-25 petals), scalloped bloom form. Prolific, spring or summer flush with scattered later bloom.

Habit:

Short.

Notes:

Dwarf Bourbon Perpetual with white flowers; probably not the rose of this name confused with 'Mrs. Bosanquet', which is usually described as blush or flesh-white. There was also a salmon-pink Bourbon of this name from the 1850's.
