Damask roses ....'Fiskeby' ...Known in culture in Sweden from the beginning of the 1900s.... Description .... According to Pom's DNA studies the nearest relatives of 'Fiskeby' are 'Trigintipetala'...'Quatre Saisons' and 'Quatre Saisons Blanc Mousseux'. Their similarity index is 50,0%. The next closest are two sorts of the Villosa group, 'Hurdal' and 'Duplex', they have similarity indices of 43,3 respectively 39,4% with 'Fiskeby'. The kinship with the Damask roses 'Geschwinds Nordlandrose', 'Belle Cathérine' and 'Helga Schiemann' is 37,9, 35,7 respectively 32,1%.....'Fiskeby' was classed into the Damask group although morphologically it reminds very much of the varieties in the Villos group.
