Breeder's notes:
When Viru saw the first flower on this Tea seedling, he was immediately reminded of the beautiful well designed and cut hooped skirt dresses, lavishly embroidered and with lace, that women in the 19th and early 20th centuries wore for parties. He had just finished reading some books of this period followed by George Bernard Shaw’s play, Pygmalion, which was made later into the film My Fair Lady. So he decided to name this seedling, if it continued to prove good, ‘My Fair Lady’. Then he forgot about it , as the plant had been kept in a place where the other plants around it overgrew and hid it. In the middle of 2023 it burst into wondrous bloom and Viru discovered it again. He thought that he would release it and enter the details on HelpMeFind.com/roses. But then events overtook us. I would like to record this rose but as there is already one named My Fair Lady, I decided to name it My Faire Lady. It is one of Viru’s earlier seedlings , from 2015 , a smallish shrub, a lovely Tea rose with an enchanting fragrance.
