Per Ping Lim, this rose is known as "Lone Star" in Texas. Also, it is named "dragon" because in Chinese culture a dragon symbolizes abundance. And I can vouch for the abundance of blooms this rose produces!

I am quite impressed with this little bloom machine. Distributed by Altman Plants, but the only place I saw it was Costco, and it was only there for a hot minute, like maybe 2 days. And the plant looked kinda beat up when I got it, but it recovered quickly when I putt it in the ground. It has never gone out of bloom in the three months I have had it.

Bred to grow short and round with mantua tight sprays. Available at Costco in May 2025. I was there today and there seems to be 2 distinct colors on the available plants, but no plant was showing both. Some were butter yellow and others were a clear bright light yellow.
