My mother had a White Dorothy Perkins in her backyard in Silver Spring, Maryland. Every so often, some of the rose petals would revert partially to the original Dorothy Perkins and produce lovely striped blooms. I was saddened that the rose was a once-bloomer, but what a show! It was a spectacle I anticipated every year.
