2013: broke ground on a new 11 acre garden in Wine Country. All the roses from The City & SoCal have been relocated.
A San Francisco garden with the main collection in Southern California. Hundreds of roses ranging from species, OGR, and modern hybrids fight for space amidst queen palms and jasmine. I have been growing roses for over two decades now, but the hardest lesson to learn has been this: not all roses are worth growing. The plants listed on my favorites list are truly exceptional and have my full endorsement. For every variety that made the list, five others were composted....
