"GRACE - a hybrid between Rugosa and Harison Yellow, originated at Ottawa. Rather small flower, better than semi-double, a pleasing tint of pale apricot-pink."
(1949)

"GRUSS AN TEPLITZ - a very ancient China Rose, brought to Europe by East-India merchant ships centuries ago. Brilliant red, but with weak flower stems."
(1949)

"Hansa - our most popular rose, in spite of the short and weak flower stems. Its combination of hardiness and very free everblooming is little short of a miracle. Flower very large, double, fragrant, red with a violet tinge. Suitable for use as a specimen, in clumps of four to six, or to comprise a dwarf, pruned hedge."

"HANSETTE* - Our hybrid between Hansa and R. rubrifolia. Semi-double red. Not particularly valuable in itself, but has the power to transmit freedom from violet tones and non-fading."

Harison's Hardy - flower as double as Harison's Yellow, but only cream with tones of yellow in the centre. Completely hardy. Altaica by Harison's Yellow.
(1949)

"HARISON'S PROFUSE - a seedling of Harison's Yellow secured from the Botanical Garden at Lexington, Massachusetts, and originated by the celebrated rosarian, Stephen F. Hamblin. This varies from white to blush pink, and may not be double enough to please in southern areas. It is so vigorous, and such an extremely floriferous plant that it is sure to be liked in our north."

*HARISON'S YELLOW - a very old rose that needs no description. Hardy most winters as far north as Saskatoon, but lives only to the snow line at Moose Range."

Percy Wright Catalogue - Hardy and Semi-Hardy Roses - ca 1949 p. 8

"HAZELDEAN* - same descent, [Altaica x Harison's Yellow] and also 100% hardy. the individual flower is wonderful, full double, of good form, larger and of better texture than Harison's Yellow, a true yellow, but so sparsely produced that we have decided to recommend it only for breeding purposes."
