American Banner.- A tea rose with magnificent red and white striped blooms, which was obtained by Georges Cartwright in Dedam (North America). It descends from a sporting branch of the Tea rose Bon Silène.

Tea. André Schwartz (Schwartz 1882). Medium size, double, dark crimson-red, sometimes white stripes in the centre, vigorous and floriferous. One of the best red-blooming Tea roses.

Tea. Baronne de Fonvielle (Gonod 1886). Large, double, fine form; copper-yellow, reverse lake-red. Very fragrant and beautiful. Vigorous habit like "Gloire de Dijon".
