It is also known from the upper part of the river Chkalta in Abkhazia...Close to Caucasian R. borissovae Chrshan. and the Armenian R. orientalis Dupont ex Ser. (R. atropana Sosn.)

Species known from the gorge of Dzhemagat where it grows on dry slopes. Outside the basin of the Teberda, is found in the Elbrus region, in the dil-Su valley. Close to the sub-endemic R. hirtissima Lonacz from Teberda and the endemic central caucasian R. tchegemensis Galushko.

Grows on dry rocky slopes, thickets, shrubs, steppes, mountain terraces, in the valley of the Teberda (classical location). The species extends eastwards to the Elbrus region. Close to the Armenian Tamamsch. and the Iranian R. roopae Lonacz.
