Neue Rosen, cultivirt bei Herrn Desprez zu Yèble. (Seine et Marne.)
R. Angelina. (F.X.) Eine bengalische Rose, bildet einen recht niedlichen Strauch; das Holz hat fast keine Dornen; das Blatt ist klein, schmal, gezähnt, mit einer scharfen Spitze. Die kleinen, sehr zahlreichen Blüthen stehen in einem gedrängten Büschel, haben 20 Linien im Durchmesser, sind sehr spitz, regelmäßig dachziegelförmig gestellt und ranunkelförmig gebaut, von anfangs purpurbrauner und, nach dem Aufblühen, kirschrother Farbe.

R. Angelina. A China Rose that forms an attractive shrub; the wood has nearly no prickles; the leaves are small, narrow, serrated and sharply spiked. The small, numerous flowers are produced in rich clusters, are 20 lines (c. 1.7 inches) in diameter, very pointed (quilled?), imbricated and ranunculus-shaped, starting out a purplish brown color, becoming cherry-red after blooming.

Neue Rosen, cultivirt bei Herrn Desprez zu Yèble. (Seine et Marne.)
R. Antoinette d'Orjo. (C.E.) Holz und Blatt grünbraun; wenige, kurze, sich neigende Dornen ; die Blättchen sehr gerollt; die Blumen gefüllt, die Blätter anmuthig eins in das andre gefalten und in der Mitte 4 bis 5 Abtheilungen bildend; die Blumenblätter des äußern umfangs begrenzen die Blumenkrone in efnem Abschnitt von 4 bis 5 Seiten, d. h. sie sind 4- bis 5 randig. Die Farbe ist rosaviolett, rosafleischfarbig marmorirt. Der Durchmesser hat 30 bis 36 Linien. Diese schöne Rose gehört zu den bengalischen Theerosen.

R. Antoinette d'Orjo. The wood and leaves are greenish brown; the few thorns are short and downward; the leaves are very rolled; the flowers are double, 30 to 36 lines in diameter, with the petals folding gracefully one into the other, and forming 4 to 5 sections in the middle; the outer petals delimit the corolla in a section of 4 to 5 sides, i.e., they have 4 to 5 edges. The color is rose-violet marbled with flesh-pink. This beautiful rose is one of the Bengal Tea Roses.

Hybriden von der Rosa bengalensis und noisetteana.
R. Astarode Das Holz purpurfarbig, das Blatt lang; die Rosen seht gefüllt, schön gerundet, vortrefflich geformt, 36 Linien breit und drüber, marmorartig, violet, sehr dunkelpupurbraun gefärbt, carmin, lilaviolet und lilabläulich gegittert, oder wie ein Rebhuhn gefleckt.
Dieß ist das erste Mal, daß wir eine solche Rose von so eigenthümlicher Farbe und eben so prächtigen als sonderbaren Schattirungen erhalten haben.

Hybrid China and Hybrid Noisette Roses.
R. Astarode The wood is purple, the leaves are long; the roses are full, beautifully rounded, excellently formed, 36 lines (23 millimeters) wide and over, marbled, a violet, very dark purple-brown in color, barred or speckled with carmine, lilac-violet and lilac-bluish hues.
This is the first time that we have received a rose of such an unusual color with such splendid and strange shadings.
