(1917)  Page(s) 31.

Climbing Hybrid Tea and Tea Roses
These are so-called climbing forms or "sports" of standard Roses. They bloom more frequently during the season than the more hardy climbers, but require protection. At no time are they covered completely with bloom, as are the June-flowering sorts.
Pillar of Gold. Climbing Tea. While this Rose has a very high-sounding name, all Rosarians who know it consider it well worth the honor, for, when in bloom, the strong, upright-growing canes are nearly covered with large, deep yellow flowers of great size. Pillar of Gold is really a wonderful Rose for planting wherever a climbing Rose is needed. 75 cents each.

Reine Marie Henriette. Climbing Hybrid Tea. Large, full, and well-formed flowers of bright cherry-red. The structure of the flower has caused this variety to be commonly called "Red Gloire de Dijon". The canes are strong and free flowering. A valuable dark-coloured climbing Rose. 50 cents each, $5 per dozen, $40 per 100.
