43. Rosa abutalybovii Gadzh. Near Threatened
This is a rare species known from just a few locations in Nakchivan, from the Shaxbuz area and in Guba from the Shakhdag area. The species is not protected in the wild, which makes it subject to the effects of human activities, such as cutting for fuel, or stochastic events, and its conservation assessment is capable of becoming critically endangered or even extinct in a very short time period. Current population trends need to be monitored. This is a valuable medicinal plant species. Its principal threats are cutting for fuel and over-collection by the local population.

46. Rosa karjaginii Sosn. Near Threatened..
The species is already included in the Red Book of Azerbaijan (Adighesal et al., 1989) and is a very rare endemic species. Only a single location is known from the Shamakhi region, Greater Caucasus. Although the population is currently stable and the species is common in the area of its distribution, it may be subject to the effects of human activities in the wild such as habitat degradation or over-collecting of fruits. The species needs more strict habitat management. An important medicinal and ornamental species, it is under threat from over-collection for medicinal purposes.

44. Rosa nisami Sosn. Near Threatened.
This species is included in the Red Book of Azerbaijan (Adighesal et al., 1989). It is known from no more than five locations, some in the Lesser Caucasus, in the Gey-Gol region, and Nakhchivan. Despite the fact that the population is currently stable, the population density is relatively low, and the species may be susceptible to the effects of human activities such as use for fuel or stochastic events. A valuable medicinal and ornamental plant, it is under threat from over-collection and by its use by the local population for fuel.
