Hi Cliff,
My Mum had a lovely, and extensive rose garden at our home in England. I am now living in Maryland, and want to bring over some of her roses before we sell her house.
Your article was very useful, but it seems the exporter does a lot of certifications. If I am doing this myself, what would I need to do?
Thanks!
Hattie

Thank You for the information Cliff.
I have got the 546 and 587 forms I need for Florida.
I have 2 questions does a permit exist that will allow to import from Ca. ?
Also in a quarentine area if I got 4 plants from England, they can stay next to each other? or, do they have to be 10 feet from one another?
Thank You again for all your help and time you put into helping other rose growers!

The USDA's Postentry Quarantine program covers roses imported from outside North America, Andrew, not roses from California. You'd have to check with your local authorities for the last information on importing from California.

If the four plants from England were all from the same supplier, and all arrived in one shipment, then the answer is yes, they can be next to each other. But each shipment from each supplier must have a physical separation from the others.

Thanks for your kind comments, and good luck!

Thanks, Cliff,
I wondered how it would work and loved your step by step information. I now feel 'capable' of trying this! Thank you for supplying all the necessary access to the forms and phone numbers.
Wish me luck,
Samantha
